So, how did we meet? Well, it all started during our 2019 freshman year of college in the Notre Dame football stadium.
-
Notre Dame was playing long time rival USC, and Peter invited his friend, Nino, out for the game. A little over half way through the game, the two boys took a commemorative selfie, but much to their surprise, they were photo-bombed! After turning around to investigate the intentional culprit, Peter was amazed to see the cutest girl he has ever met— Jaden! He quickly started chatting her up and got her number. After Peter hugged her goodbye moments later, Jaden turned to her friends and jokingly said, "That boy wants to marry me."
-
Although the timing wasn't right for them freshman year, the two became best friends immediately and remained close through all four years of college. Through endless game nights, football games, and even a spring break ski trip, the two grew closer and closer together.
-
Jaden and Peter had grown to truly love each other, but the looming end of college led them to remain just friends through the end of their senior year. However, shortly after graduation and a trip up and down the coast of California with their close friend Jack, Jaden invited Peter out to Colorado for her graduation party... and he went!
-
While flying out to Colorado, Peter came to a realization on the plane: he truly loved Jaden and wanted to be with her (a realization Jaden had come to a few months earlier, but then again Jaden has always been a bit quicker than Peter). After heading straight from the plane to asking Jaden on their first official date, then to immediately meeting Jaden's entire family for the first time at the graduation party, Peter realized he loved not only Jaden, but her family as well.
-
The next day, Peter took Jaden on a sunset walk and played all the cheesiest and prettiest loves songs he knew before stopping on a hill and confessing his love. Jaden immediately professed her love as well and the two were officially dating!
-
While the good news was they were finally dating, the bad news was that Peter was starting an engineering job in Michigan and Jaden was starting a marketing job in Colorado. The new couple immediately starting dating long distance, but were able to further grow their relationship through FaceTime movie dates, long phone calls, and the occasional trip!
-
Two and a half years later on a surprisingly warm New Years Eve with the entire immediate Daher family, everyone made their way down to Parker for their annual ice skating outing. After ice skating, the Dahers then relaxed a local park before heading to an early extended family NYE party. Having waited for just the right moment, Peter took Jaden on a walk to the gazebo in the middle of the park, got down on one knee, pulled out a ruby engagement ring, and asked Jaden to marry him! Jaden, overcome with excitement and love, said "Yes!!" After the hugs and kisses, a photographer, hidden in plain sight, started taking photos of the newly engaged couple! Once the photos wrapped up and the two started to come down to earth again, they headed over to the early NYE party to share the happy news. Upon their arrival, Jaden was surprised to see what was supposed to be a NYE party was actually an engagement party! All of her family had been in on the surprise, and Peter's family flew in from all across the country to join in the celebration as well!

Right now as they plan this wonderful wedding, Peter is working in Boston and Jaden in Colorado. They are still long distance, but are so excited to finally be together!
